special guest/ JAMES AGUIAR TALKS ABOUT HIS 11TH OUTFIT: #11 in 14 acts

What items did you use to compose this particular outfit?
Customized Helmut Lang jacket
Paul Smith scarf
Pants and boots

How did you arrive at the decision to compose such an outfit?
This look is one that I would wear to a fashion event. I don’t often mix this many prints and moods but that’s why we take risks.

Did you compose this outfit spontaneously or was it planned ahead of time?
I compose everything ahead of time!

On a scale of 10, how pleased are you with this composition/outfit?
I will give this outfit a 10. It’s a personal look and not for everyone

What roles do color, the fit, and integrity of fabric play in this particular outfit?
This is definitely a mix story. The lapel work was hand done by me from bits and bobs found in the flea market. I could sell this jacket a thousand times over! The print on the pants are tiny stars and to me read like an animal print. Mixed with the actual leopard print scarf and boots makes for a trippy surreal mix. A bit like Dali and Beau Brummel had a baby!

How soon would you repeat/wear this same outfit again?
This is going to fashion party for sure…just to make people mad!

There is perhaps a spiritual, emotional, intellectual or psychological aspect to the what/how we dress. What is your personal experience in relation to this outfit?
I think this just sums up “do what you want…feel good…don’t care…and make sure someone gets a picture!!!“
