What items did you use to compose this particular outfit?
A linen red/silver mylar tartan hat that I received as a gift when I was at the Fontainebleau in Miami
A sky blue/red linen scarf that I bought in AnaCapri, on the Isle of Capri last summer
A black trellis pattern Peerless Couture velvet jacket from the Zohreh Menswear Boutique off Sutton Place
A black polka dot silk pocket scarf from Burberry
Black cable knit sweater vest and corduroy jeans from Joe Fresh.
Red suede Sandalo loafers that I bought in Southampton
A silver and black diamond ring from David Yurman
How did you arrive at the decision to compose such an outfit?
It was a spur of the moment, off-the-cuff coordinated attempt. I wanted to wear my red suede loafers with my red tartan hat, so I built an outfit around those items, pairing them with black…
Did you compose this outfit spontaneously or was it planned ahead of time?
On a scale of 10, how pleased are you with this composition/outfit?
I’d give it a 6…I’ve done so much better…..
What roles do color, the fit, and integrity of fabric play in this particular outfit?
Those elements; color, fit and integrity of fabric play, actually help to MAKE THIS OUTFIT…. otherwise it would just be another humdrum outfit, in my estimation….
How soon would you repeat/wear this same outfit again?
NEVER…if not RARELY….I have far too many clothes for one man!
There is perhaps a spiritual, emotional, intellectual or psychological aspect to the what/how we dress. What is your personal experience in relation to this outfit?
My “personal relationship in this outfit” was to achieve the objective of coordinating a specific amount of outfits, unplanned, in a finite amount of time…So NECESSITY played a huge role in the planning of this outfit….TRULY! My personal style is inherent, not store bought nor dictated to me by some fashion designer or stylist. Dressing my clients or myself is like breathing or eating to me.
