SPECIAL GUEST INTERVIEW:
VICTOR de DOUZA TALKS ABOUT HIS 8th  OUTFIT

What items did you use to compose this particular outfit?
Carrot Cut Chino pants by J. Lindenberg
Short sleeve floral dress shirt and sweater, Forever 21
Men wedge Oxford, Royal Elastics.

How did you arrive at the decision to compose such an outfit?
I was looking for a way to modernize the classic sweater tennis look and decided to use the same print for both the shirt and sweater. By incorporating untraditional cut pant with a traditional color and feel, it makes the whole look feel like something reminiscent from the eighties but a bit more updated.

Did you compose this outfit spontaneously or was it planned ahead of time?
This look was planned due to the fact that I wanted to incorporate my own design into something casual, fun and stylish.

On a scale of 10, how pleased are you with this composition/outfit?
9

What roles do color, the fit, and integrity of fabric play in this particular outfit?
In this outfit the main factors were the floral print on floral print and the updated shapes in the pant.

How soon would you repeat/wear this same outfit again?
I would repeat this look when the weather permits it. This outfit is best in early spring or fall when the temperature is just right.

There is perhaps a spiritual, emotional, intellectual or psychological aspect to the what/how we dress. What is your personal experience in relation to this outfit?
This outfit is special to me due to the fact I am very attracted to floral right now. I have been searching for a way to make floral masculine and preppy.

  1. Dawne Marie says:

Victor, the vibrant floral on floral combination of your shirt and sweater contrasts beautifully against the neutrals in your pants and shoes to create a modern-day preppy ensemble of perfection. Well Done!!

  2. Penny says:

The floral on floral is chic, not at all overwhelming. The beige is a perfect contrast. This is a wonderful timeless look Victor. I love the composition.
