SPECIAL GUEST INTERVIEW:
VICTOR de DOUZA TALKS ABOUT HIS 10th OUTFIT
What items did you use to compose this particular outfit?
Wool button-up vintage-inspired blazer, Tallia
Capri plaid knickers, Uniqlo
Southwest print dress shirt, Diesel
Burnt sienna distressed shoe, Bruno Magli
Burnt sienna leather briefcase by Fossil
How did you arrive at the decision to compose such an outfit?
My first inspiration was the blazer. I searched to find pants that matched the trim and feeling of the blazer and wanted to add an unexpected element of fun with the southwest inspired shirt. Lastly I brought the entire look together by adding a matching shoe and briefcase.
Did you compose this outfit spontaneously or was it planned ahead of time?
This was very much a planned outfit I searched to find all the elements to make this cool and cohesive.
On a scale of 10, how pleased are you with this composition/outfit?
7
What roles do color, the fit, and integrity of fabric play in this particular outfit?
The color in this outfit was most important to me. The main inspiration was to find harmonious material and color pallet with the blazer and pants then adding a surprise with the shirt. Additionally, the shoes and briefcase gave the ensemble a much needed vintage feel.
How soon would you repeat/wear this same outfit again?
This is one I would rarely repeat except for errands—running around the city.
There is perhaps a spiritual, emotional, intellectual or psychological aspect to the what/how we dress. What is your personal experience in relation to this outfit?
This outfit was an experiment on how to make new items have a vintage feel. This is a dressy outfit but has a low-key feel because of the materials used.
This is a great photo, like the imagery of the architecture mixed with fashion
