special guest/FLORA COLLINS: talks about her 6th outfit. #6 in ten acts

What items did you use to compose this particular outfit?
I used an H&M top and shorts, a vintage Marsha Sherrill belt, a Rachel Roy necklace, and sneakers bought at Alice + Olivia.

How did you arrive at the decision to compose such an outfit?
I love the look of a big shirt belted with shorts. The orange belt complements the redhead on the shirt. The necklace and gold studded sneakers add an edgy touch.

Did you compose this outfit spontaneously or was it planned ahead of time?
I composed it ahead of time.

In a scale of 10, how pleased are you with this composition/outfit?
I’d say an 8. This is the only casual outfit that strangers have complimented me on when I’m walking down the street.

What roles do color, the fit, and integrity of fabric play in this particular outfit?
Color plays a huge role in this outfit. Orange is the theme here— the girl on the shirt matches my hair and the belt matches the girl on my shirt.

How soon would you repeat/wear this same outfit again?
If it were warmer I would wear this outfit again in a second.

There is perhaps a spiritual, emotional, intellectual or psychological aspect to what/how we dress. What is your personal experience in relation to this outfit?
This is a common outfit I wear during the summer, so I associate it with friends and relaxation. I wear this outfit when I want to feel subtly sexy—the shirt may reveal a bra strap and the shorts are short!
