PICTURE: #2 IN TEN ACTS
SPECIAL GUEST INTERVIEW:
PAT CLEVELAND TALKS ABOUT HER 2ND OUTFIT
What items did you use to compose this particular out fit?
One dress and one pair of Halston shoes circa, 1970’s.
How did you arrive at the decision to compose such an out fit?
I had the occasion to go to a cocktail party and this made for the perfect number!!!
Did you compose this outfit spontaneously or was it planned ahead of time?
This is my Saturday dress which encompasses shades of browns, tans and/or earth colors…. very grounding.
In a scale of 10, how pleased are you with this composition/ outfit?
I definitely love the flirty feeling of this outfit so I give it a 10.
What roles do color, the fit and integrity of fabric play in this particular out fit?
I feel as free as a butterfly in chiffon, and my Halston shoes always give me the feeling that I am walking on a red carpet— through time—because they are timeless in their design, very simple.
How soon would you repeat/wear this same outfit again?
I would wear this outfit on a Saturday or a Thursday because of the sliver but poetic notes of deep orange and yellow in the pattern of the fabric.
Personally, I firmly believe that there is a spiritual, emotional, intellectual or psychological aspect to what/how we dress. What is your personal experience in relation to this outfit?
I feel touches of Africa in this outfit, it has a very indescribably sublime quality, plus it is as simple and as beautiful as an African sculpture… it fulfills my fantasy of being a body well dressed, yet a bit nude… a body well dressed should never neglect the lines of the body… The ultimate creation… what fashion was created for to begin with, is the body.
