PICTURE: #4 IN TEN ACTS
SPECIAL GUEST INTERVIEW:
PAT CLEVELAND TALKS ABOUT HER 4th OUTFIT
What items did you use to compose this particular outfit?
A flower in my hair, a dress designed by Stephen Burrows and comfortable metallic crocodile and gold metal shoes by Albino.
How did you arrive at the decision to compose such an outfit?
Tuesday is Black day for me, the spaciousness of the infinite is what black represents for me… this dress is also my Black pearl…I have to have some sort of shine to the color black it must reflects light, so it is not dull, this dress is breezy and cool to wear… good for several seasons, spring; summer; autumn; I have even worn it in winter.
Did you compose this outfit spontaneously or was it planned ahead of time?
It fell into place by color, on my calendar, so it was planned.
In a scale of 10, how pleased are you with this composition/ outfit?
Very pleased, it is a comfortable 10.
What roles do color, the fit and integrity of fabric play in this particular out fit?
Silk charmeuse is one of my favorite fabrics; dresses created by Stephan Burrows in this fabric, are durable, and seem to never age. I love the smooth free flowing feeling of the way the fabric drapes against my skin, also the reflective quality of this black fabric plays with light.
How soon would you repeat/wear this same outfit again?
On every Tuesday when the occasion calls for this type of look.
Personally I firmly believe that there is a spiritual, emotional, intellectual or psychological aspect to what/how we dress. What is your personal experience in relation to this outfit?
Freedom in movement is the key for me in most anything I wear, especially with this little dress, I often go Latin dancing in this dress because it seems to dance on its own, it is as if it could be one of my ‘triolisme‘ of dancing partners.
